How to use this tool

  1. Enter your own confirmed figures or use the labelled fictional example.
  2. Calculate, compare the breakdown and check the assumptions below.
  3. Copy or download the result, or print it for your own records.

How the calculation works

The annual return you enter is treated as an effective annual rate, converted to a monthly growth factor. Fixed nominal contributions arrive at month-end. Inflation discounts each annual balance into today’s purchasing power. Negative returns are supported.

Useful limits to know

This is a constant-return scenario, not an investment forecast. Enter returns after any tax and fees you intend to allow for. There is no market volatility, changing contribution, product rate, tax calculation or guarantee.
